FTA Global t/a Filter Technology Australia (FTA) is a manufacturing company with its facility and head office located in Thornton, NSW.
In 2022, the company was acquired by Chris Wells, a dedicated and longtime employee and Technical Operations Manager with over 25 years of experience in the mining & manufacturing industries.
The company has been molded over the years from the knowledge and experience of the previous owners, who had extensive experience in a range of industrial businesses in coal mining, transport, quarrying, minerals refining, property, agriculture, and construction engineering, all of which depend on the operation of industrial plant and equipment.
Established in 1997, Filter Technology Australia was born with the vision to become a leading Australian manufacturer, both in design, quality, and cost effectiveness in the filtration industry. To this day, all components are still proudly Australian-made.
Our Mission
Our mission is to develop and manufacture, safely and in harmony with the environment, high-quality and innovative filtration products. This has now been broadened to so much more than filtration; this has enabled us to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.
Through the continued involvement with businesses across all industries, we have applied considerable focus to lowering operating costs, reducing unplanned stoppages of equipment, and improving equipment performance overall.

We have the experience
The owner of FTA has over 20 years behind him in manufacturing, mining, transport, quarrying, minerals refining, and construction engineering.
All of these industries depend on the operation of industrial plant and equipment so we understand why it’s so important to reduce operational costs.
The core business of FTA is the design and manufacture of ‘ultra-fine’ filtration systems for applications in industrial processes and equipment operation. Installation, service, and ongoing support for FTA products are provided by FTA and our network of distributors.
Over the years of offering onsite support and maintenance to a number of mines in NSW, FTA has expanded our services to include servicing, manufacturing, hire, procurement, building maintenance, stainless steel pipework supply and installation and infrastructure maintenance.
